Summarizer creates summaries of articles and texts and lets you share them to your favorite social media channels and messaging apps. It is very easy and intuitive to use.
- Saw an interesting article title but not feeling like reading it all? Want to summarize a big wall of text? Just hit the share button, select Summarizer, and choose the length of the summary and voila! You receive a smart summary of the article or text.
- You can also just directly go to the app, and paste the URL or Text that you want to summarize.
- Share your created summary to your favorite social media channels by just clicking the share icon on the top navigation bar.
- Swipe undesired sentences in your created summary to delete them. A new sentence is automatically added on the bottom of the activity.
- View your summary history by clicking on the search icon on the top navigation bar.
- Once in the history, you can tap any item and it will show you the summary again.
You need an internet connection if you want to summarize using a URL. Text however, doesn't need a connection.
I created this app because I felt that when you're reading an article and you want to continue reading it later, often times you won't remember to look at it again by just saving the URL somewhere. With this app you can summarize the article and for example output the summary to Evernote (or any other app to keep notes). After each outputted summary the app provides a link to the full article. This way you can remember what the article was about before you resume reading it. You can also share it with your friends or colleagues on your favorite social media channels to provide them with a preview of what they are going to read. A 5th grade teacher even told me he could use it for his pupils to help them practice creating summaries.
