Using medicines sometimes has risks. The free app Medicijnkastje helps you to handle your medicines safely. Via the app you can request repeat recipes and share your user experiences with the pharmacy.
In Medicijnkastje you can read current leaflets, independent information and experiences of other (anonymous) users. The app provides insight into your medication use from now up to 3 years ago. You make contact with your pharmacy at the desk without lovering customers. You also share data with care providers and family members easily and safely.
Medicine use can entail risks, for example in the form of side effects. Certain combinations of medicines can be dangerous. In addition, there are medicines that inhibit or strengthen the effect of another agent.
The app increases the safety of your medication use and supports your treatment with:
- Insight into your medication use of the past 3 years;
- Sharing your user experiences with your pharmacy;
- Direct contact with your pharmacy for asking questions and requesting repeat recipes;
- Independent information and current package leaflets about medicines;
- Safe exchange of information with caregivers, caregivers and family.
The app is part of a personal, secured account on Medicijnkastje .nl, which you activate at your pharmacy. As soon as you link the app to your account, all options are available.
Medicijnkastje is an initiative of Clearing House Pharmacists, an independent organization that has been processing declarations of pharmaceutical agents and medical devices for over 20 years.
