Manchester Arrives is a simple app that aims to help the tram users of Greater Manchester, UK waste less time waiting for tram to arrive. The concept of Manchester Arrives app is simple and it uses the advertised time on http://www.metrolink.co.uk to derive the next tram times.
The app contains four options namely 1. Next Tram Journey 2. First Tram Journey 3. Last Tram Journey and 4. Tram Traffic and Planning. For Next Tram Journey, the app takes the advertised first tram time for a specified tram station and add the advertised tram frequency to derive the next tram time for a specific tram stop. For First Tram Journey, the app simply displays the advertised time the first tram will leave a specified tram stop. For Last Tram Journey, the app simply displays the advertised time the last tram will leave a specified tram stop. Tram Traffic and Planning, this section of the app contains links that route users to Metrolink website to check the current situation of the tram network for that day.
Caution needs to be exercised as per using this app. This app displays calculated times and not live feeds from Transport For Greater Manchester as such the time displayed needs to be mixed with the advertised tram network situation at the time of use of this app. The developers of this app cannot be held responsible for any missed tram.
