Haasrode Research Park is confronted with many mobility problems: many cars, difficult accessibility by public transport, no station and difficult accessibility for cyclists. This results in long waiting times for cars, shortcut in the area and especially dissatisfaction.
To tackle this problem, M-App , a GPS application for Android and iOS is launched. The app registers the daily commuting: route, travel method, duration, delays, etc. ... Give commuters input to policy and other actors. For example, M-App becomes a participation platform for employees, and a mobility policy and plan can be tested against reality.
In addition, M-App users also receive advice to try it in a different way. Based on the daily registered journeys and route, of travel information from De Lijn and NMBS, M-App provides personal advice for a different route, a different time, a different method of transport .. and at the same time indicates what time savings, economic profit, etc.
