NOTE TO EVERYONE THAT USES MY APP: If the app is not recording it (eg: leaves a 4kb file) this means that your current ROM version DOES NOT SUPPORT IT (Next to that you need root as well). Yes this can occur on CyanogenMod or even Googles AOSP. Bugs exist, that's life. deal with it, rather then rating my app 1 star just because your ROM is not working properly!
New ScreenRecorder in town! This one performs perfectly on Android 4.4 KitKat. It uses the native "screenrecord" binary from 4.4 ROM which give very smooth results..

Note: While recording your device may become a bit laggy, Recorded video (when played on PC) is 100% smooth
Note2: If unsure about the settings just leave everything default and it will work properly
Steps:
1. Fill in the path of the destination file. this has to end with a trailing slash ( / ), the filenames are generated automatically
2. Choose a bitrate in Mbps, the default bitrate is 4Mbps, Higher bitrate means better quality. I prefer 8-12Mbit.
3. Press "Start Recording" to start recording the video, the app will now minimize, when you are done with your recording press the notification that popped up. this will stop the recording.
