Amharic word search puzzle is a game designed to entertain and educate.
This is the free version of our Kalat word search puzzle.
Amharic is the official language of the East African country of Ethiopia. This wordsearch puzzle is designed for the Amharic language speakers or people who are learning the language. The puzzles contain over 1300 words organized in 37 categories and three levels. The easy level comes in 7x7 grid, medium level comes in 9x9 grid and the difficult level comes in 11x11 grid respectively. The grids are filled in with the alphabets of the language (a character set called Ethiopic or Gee'z) which is the written form of the Amharic language.
In Amharic each one of the alphabets are called fidel (letter). The language is written from left to right but in the case of the puzzles words are written in eight directions. Because words of one and two fidel (letters) are too easy to find and make the puzzle less interesting they are not included.
Knowledge of the Amharic language as well as the words and the definitions could significantly enhance the experience of playing the puzzles but for anyone who can read or recognize fidel could search and construct the words just by looking at the sequences of the charactercs as shown in the list of words to be searched.
The simple rules:
- Finds words only from the given list.
- Puzzle is played only Top to bottom, left to right, diagonal and in reverse of these directions.
