EGK Sample APP for Airid® Card Reader
Note: The Airid® EGK Sample app is only fully operational in connection with the Airid® card reader and the Airid® Central app. Airid® is a card reader who communicates wirelessly via a secure Bluetooth Low Energy connection with your iOS device. The Airid® Central app is the administrative software for your Airid® and forms the basis for the use of the device.
With the Airid® EGK Sample app - after clicking on the "Show eGK data" button, data of an electronic health card are read out and displayed. The data displayed contains the patient data (PD) and the insured data (VD), including billing cost bearers, cost bearers and additional information.
This sample app uses intent to communicate with the Airid® Central app. After selecting and connecting the Airid® device to the Airid® Central App, the Airid® is saved in the Airid® Central app and handed over to the sample app via pop-up window. For the handover, tap the "Connect Airid" button and select the "Connect" option in the pop-up window. Before using the sample app, the Airid® device must be connected to the Airid® Central app.
Please note that an AES-256 encryption in this variant currently requires a new key exchange after changing between apps.
This sample app only supports second -generation German electronic health cards.
compatibility
Due to Android's heterogeneity, it cannot be guaranteed that the Airid® apps will work with your Android device.
The Bluetooth Low Energy functionality and an Android version from 4.4 upwards are minimum requirements for Airid®.
In addition, the firmware version of the Airid® card reader used has an impact on the stability of the Bluetooth connection. The best stability can be achieved with the current beta-release 1.2.0-18.
