Crime Detector is an app where you can report a crime, whether you become a victim yourself, or when you just witnessed a crime. The main purpose of the app was originally to solve more rape cases, but has now developed to be used for virtually any crime. Where an offense is reported to get people around you a message about the crime and how far from the brim committed. You can also enter a descriptions of the offender to appear for those who are near. With Crime Detector, you can hold a conversation via text messages during the process. Crime Detector can be used amongst friends, but also works in contexts where you do not know the people involved.
Every day thousands of crimes committed around the world. But that is only a fraction of those that really cleared up. This is of course not that the police are doing a bad job, but simply that there is not enough evidence to clear up the crimes. The incident of a crime can be committed around the corner without us noticing. It could be a robbery, a rape, or an assault.
