Chiquititas is a Brazilian soap opera written by Iris Abravanel, aired on SBT. Based on the original series of the same name created by Cris Morena, it is also a remake of the previous version for that country. The series is directed by Reynaldo Boury, with Ricardo Mantoanelli directing the music videos. The remake was announced in September 2012 by SBT, with the aim of maintaining positive classifications given by Carousel, also directed to younger viewers.
