Taking literally days to develop, the game features the most accurate simulation of a 13-year-old, male African lion ever created, along with breathtaking environments that reflect the actual landscapes where Cecil once lived. To create the savannas of Kenya, the research team at Winosaur Studios scoured the internet for hours, searching for realistic public domain pictures without copyright restrictions for commercial use. Realistic lion sounds were recorded in studio using extras from the 1981 Tippi Hedren movie “Roar.”
“The amount of hype surrounding the game is astronomical!” noted the lead programmer at Winosaur Studios, “We wanted to make the gameplay revolutionary, so we developed cutting-edge ‘Tap-to-Maul’ technology. I was pretty drunk during development, but I think it works okay.”
