Arbiter for the "Game of the Generals" board game (no ads)
Note: This app is not the board game Game of the Generals. This app is only intended to be used as a tool when playing that game. Suffice to say that if you don’t know what the board game Game of the Generals (GG) aka Salpakan is about, then this app won’t make sense to you.
This app is an electronic arbiter for the Game of the Generals board game. With this app, there is no more need to find a third person to act as arbiter.
HOW THE APP WORKS
During a "challenge", each player will take turns inputting the rank of their piece. There is no sequence as to who goes first. Either one can go first. But in general, the player who initiates the challenge should normally go first in entering their piece’s rank.
The player does this by selecting the rank from a gallery style selection. The opposing player will then be given the chance to perform the same rank selection.
After both players have entered their pieces ranks, the app will show the winner of the challenge. Pressing the Ok button will reset the screen ready for another round
of adjudication.
FEATURE TO HELP IN POST-MATCH ANALYSIS
This app has a Show History option to display a list of past adjudications. However, before the list can be displayed, the user is prompted to enter a passcode. This passcode input process has been added to deter anyone from using this feature to peep into pass adjudications during a match. It is envisaged that this feature will be used only for post-match analysis.
Only the past 50 adjudications are saved by the app. This limit is mainly to save memory resources. The list of adjudications is displayed from the most recent to the oldest. A Clear History option is also available to clear the list.
